The Tiege Story
The Tiege Hanley story is simple and uncomplicated, just like our products. Founded by four “regular guys,” we created a product system and brand that makes skin care meaningful, accessible, affordable and clinically relevant—for regular guys.
The brain child of Kelley Thornton, Tiege Hanley, named after one of Kelley’s prominent ancestors, was inspired by a department store skin care aisle stroll. As Kelley perused, he was struck by three simple truths:
1. Guys really don’t know much about skin care
2. Men’s skin care products are complicated and confusing
3. Man, are those products expensive!
Drawing on his marketing and brand management experience, Kelley got to work, enlisting his college roommate turned software industry guru, Rob Hoxie, to help mastermind a skin care solution for men that hits all three points—it has to be sensible, simple and affordable.
Kelley and Rob wanted to help regular guys look and feel amazing by creating a skin care system that was easy to understand and to use. But what good is an idea without an audience? Enter Aaron Marino—men's lifestyle expert, grooming guru, YouTube sensation and serial entrepreneur. Aaron’s male-centric passion for health and lifestyle, personal brand and cult-like following made him Tiege Hanley’s ideal partner number three.
Now that the team had a powerful way to reach men, they were only missing the final ingredient—the products themselves. Daunting undertaking? Nah! They did what any regular guys would do—took their idea to the golf course where they teed right up to the man who would become Tiege Hanley’s master skin care formulator. Known only as The Chemist (who prefers to remain incognito) and with more than 35 years of experience formulating products for some of the top skin care brands, he agreed to join the team as fourth partner and is the creator of what the team calls their “Ferrari formulas.”

Founder, CEO / Regular Guy—Marketing Super Hero
By all accounts, Kelley is a sales and marketing superhero: He’s a 20+ year veteran who has successfully connected companies to customers, boasting annual sales surpassing multimillions. But underneath the cape, he’s just a regular guy who woke up one day and realized he wasn’t getting any younger—and skin care wasn’t getting any simpler. Shazam! Kelley assembled an all-star team to bring Tiege Hanley to life with the sole mission of providing the best skin care products made for men, and to help guys understand how to use them.
Rob Hoxie
Co-Founder / Full of Moxie—and Techie Wiz Every superhero needs a sidekick, and when Kelley came calling, Rob didn’t hesitate to team up with his former college roommate and bring his high-tech knowledge to the table. Hailing from 20 years of loyalty to a single company, and nearly 10 more years of strategic business development and technology product management—including work with the Oil of Olay brand management team (!)—Rob was just the techie wiz for the Tiege Hanley team.

The most visible member of the team, Aaron is the penultimate Grooming Guru to his avid 4 million+ testosterone-pumped fans on YouTube. His well-tended masculine celebrity spans the world wide among men who want to improve fitness, fashion and lifestyle. To say that Aaron’s confidence is contagious, would be an understatement. Not only does every guy want to know him, they want to BE him.
The Chemist Co-Founder / Master Product Formulator
Half man and half mad scientist, our master product formulator is simply known as “The Chemist.” Over the past 35 years he’s designed products and developed formulas for some of the most recognizable brands in the world. After a few secret meetings and covert negotiations, The Chemist was sold on Tiege Hanley’s idea of building a new and relevant skin care brand specifically for men and has created what has been aptly called ‘The Ferrari’ of skin care formulas.
Tiege Hanley is a men’s online subscription-based skin care company with an honest approach. We found a legitimate need in men’s skin care and developed a real solution for those confused by it. Our products are as straightforward as our company. We don’t hide behind a corporate facade. We enjoy sharing our experiences, good and bad, because we know you will trust us if we trust you.
We don’t believe in overcomplicating things because life is complicated enough!
Simple does not mean low quality. We offer high quality products, utilizing proven technologies, at a great price, so it’s easy for everyone to have healthy, amazing-looking skin.
Tiege Hanley skin care systems are comprised of products designed, formulated and tested to work seamlessly together—which means we do all the legwork before each box arrives.
We have the best face wash for men and it works even better when you use our scrub; our morning moisturizer with SPF20 won’t have an adverse reaction when you apply over our acne cream; our firming serum won’t cause a skin irritant when used with our evening moisturizer and on and on—you get the idea!
We built each system around a 30-day regimen. If every 30 days doesn’t work, just customize your shipments to fit your needs and don't worry if you plan on traveling—all Tiege Hanley products are TSA compliant.
